CRN Registration for Filter and Separator Vessels

Filter vessels, gas-liquid separators, three-phase separators, coalescer vessels, and strainer housings are common pressure vessels in oil and gas, petrochemical, and water treatment applications. These vessels require CRN registration as pressure vessels under ASME Section VIII Division 1.

Quick-Opening Closures

Do the filter elements inside a vessel need their own CRN?

Filter cartridges that are not pressure-containing do not require separate CRN. However, inline filter housings that are pressure-containing components require fitting CRN registration.
