CRN-registered designs evolve in response to new customer requirements, material availability changes, and operational feedback. Each significant design change must be evaluated to determine whether it requires a formal CRN addendum or new registration. What Triggers a CRN Addendum?

• Changes to design pressure or temperature
• Dimensional changes affecting wall thickness, head geometry, or nozzle size
• Material changes (different grade, specification)
• Changes to nozzle locations, sizes, or configurations
• Changes to support configuration, type, or location

Changes That Do Not Require Addendum

• Manufacturer name or address changes (requires notification, not addendum)
• Drawing number changes without technical content changes
• Addition of equivalent alternative materials pre-approved by the authority
